We are now searching for a new Technical Director to Wonderware Scandinavia. You will be part of the Scandinavian leadership team and an important influencer and stakeholder in the global community of Distributor peers and AVEVA product managers.

As Technical Director in Wonderware Scandinavia you will be responsible for a growing team currently consisting of 10 qualified persons working with technical pre-sales, support, and education. Managing the technical team, you will be responsible for building team capability to create efficiency of resource utilization and creating best practices. Training and portfolio management, reviews of infrastructure requirements, recruitment, people development and talent management are also important parts of the role. You will work in close collaboration with Sales and Marketing to support and secure new business as well as maintain the current customer base. You will also be part of developing key customer and supplier relationships that support business maintenance and growth.

As Technical Director you are the Scandinavian representative in the global Technical community and you will be responsible of attending and/or facilitating technical activities together with peers in other regions. In this interface you will be responsible for ensuring development and translation of technology and alignment with global strategic plans as well as best practices sharing. Identification and development of external technology and innovation partnerships will also be part of your role.

The Technical Director leads, develops and shapes a market and customer centric workplace culture for innovative solutions, execution excellence and continuous improvement.

We are looking for a strong leader with a can-do attitude, who is interested in creating team spirit and contributing to a good atmosphere. The leadership is characterized by inspiring and coaching of the team as well as inspiring and helping partners and customers. 

We believe that the right candidate has at least 10 years of industrial software industry experience, and in addition management experience of leading and coaching of cross-country/international teams at multiple sites for some years. You have good knowledge of related markets and products within industrial software (HMI, SCADA and industrial operating systems, Industry 4.0, Industrial IoT and similar). You also have excellent project and/or product management- and proven technical problem-solving skills. Medium to high level within Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook in combination with excellent written and verbal communication skills in a least one Scandinavian language and in English are requirements.
